Tioga, ND (KEYZ) As of 8 am Montana-Dakota Utilities has restored natural gas service to an estimated 650 customers, 92 door hangers left if no one answered the door or was not home; roughly 165 remaining for the first pass. Nearly 1000 customers lost their MDU service Tuesday afternoon. A spokesman for MDU tells News Radio that in total 909 customers lost service, and 50 technicians spent the evening tracing the problem and restoring service. Tioga police confirm that residents in need have takien refuge in the Tioga High School Gym, since the school has a coal fired furnace.
