Williston, ND (KEYZ)   Life threatening wind chills are making their way thought the Bakken, in fact warnings from late tonight through Thursday are in effect for the entire state of North Dakota says Meteorologist Bill Abling with the National Weather Service in Bismarck.
"The coldest wind-chills could be as low as 65 below zero, across eastern and central North Dakota, but for the Williston area the wind-chills will bottom out right around 40 degrees below zero Tuesday morning and then again Wednesday morning," says Abling.

Williston had a record wind-chill speed Sunday night of 65 mph. As we start the work and school week, Abling says there are two dangers we must keep in mind while dressing ourselves and our children.
"The wind and cold will carry heat away from the body and that leads to a couple of things, number one the threat of hypothermia where the body temperature cools down to below about 92 degrees at which time severe health concerns happen and even death can occur, says Abling who adds, the second is frost bite, which can set-in, in as little as 15 minutes. Children should go to school with hats covering the ears, and gloves or mittens, and not spend a long time out doors.

The wind chill warning officially goes into effect at 2 am Tuesday morning, and expires at 11 am Thursday morning.  The National Weather Service in Bismarck is advising residents
