Morton County, ND (KEYZ)  Morton County Sheriff's deputies, and the National Transportation Safety board are busy investigating the late night crash of an air ambulance bound for Williston, in rural Mandan killing all three people on board. County Spokeswoman Maxine Herr says the plane was reported overdue arriving in Williston just after 11 pm last night, where it was to have picked up a patient at CHI St Alexius Health, when wreckage was spotted using radar and cellphone telemetry at about 2 am.

"At that point, the Morton County Sheriff's office directed staff out to that area, searching the area and they did come across some airplane debris and that led the to the crash site. There were three occupants, the pilot, a nurse and paramedic, none of them survived the crash," says Herr.

The crash site is a farm field about 20 miles northwest of Bismarck. The pilot worked for Bismarck Air Medical, while the nurse and paramedic worked for CHI St Alexius. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The National Weather Service says there was no inclement weather in the area at the time.
