Breaking: Williston School Board Under Investigation For Alleged Violating Executive Session Policies

Williston, ND (KEYZ) - The Williston Police Department confirmed to News Radio that there is currently a criminal investigation into The Williston Basin District 7 School Board's potential violation of century code pertaining to executive meetings.

The WPD turned the investigation over to the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, but still retains the status of lead investigating body, according to the BCI.

Questions were previously raised about the School Board's handling of negotiations with the Williston Education Association as well as the handling of the removal of former Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Thake.

When reached for comment School Board President Chris Jundt replied that "The school board has neither discussed nor has any comment regarding this matter."
