Williston, ND (KEYZ) Williston State College's Communication Specialist, Caitlin Pallai, makes the trip downtown July 1st to become the city's new Communication Strategist.

Williston Mayor Howard Klug broke the news while on-air Thursday, June 4, 2020 with the Mondak Morning News team of Scott Haugen and Robin Travers . Klug told the news duo that the City had three strong candidates from which to choose but in the end, Pallai was the best fit for the position. "It's the right fit. She has the opportunity to mold this department and to do it the right way."

News Radio caught up with Pallai to ask about taking on what will no doubt be a challenging position managing communications for an entire city. "I think I'm a little bit anxious about it just cause it's a big change, but I'm also excited for it and to see where I can take the position because it is still a fairly new position," she told News Radio.

Pallai comes to the City after working for Williston State College for five years as a Communications Specialist. "I thought now is the time to transition on, and it's kind of funny that the position opened back up again and I was still here, and it all kind of worked out," she said.

Of the projects Pallai will be called upon to dive into when she gets to City Hall are the creation of an overall communications plan and promoting the "story" of the building's renovation and its greater accessibility to the public.

Pallai takes her place as Williston's Communication Strategist effective July 1, 2020.
