Killdeer, ND (KEYZ)  Yesterday's storm claimed the life of a 37 year old man from Jeanerette, Louisiana who died from injuries sustained in a crash five miles north of Killdeer at mile marker 111 on Highway 22.

The man, driving a 2015 Ford F-150, was traveling north on Highway 22 in the left northbound lane, within a passing zone. A 2012 Dodge 5500 pickup, driven by a 32 year old man from Dickinson and including three male passengers, was traveling south on Highway 22. The Dodge was following a ND DOT snow plow actively working on the roadway. The snow being removed from the roadway was thrown into the air reducing visibility. Both vehicles entered the snow fog and struck near the centerline of the roadway. The occupants of the Dodge were not injured in the crash. The driver of the Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The names will be released upon notification of the next of kin. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
