Williston, ND (KEYZ)  The mellifluous sounds of tubas, baritones, and a host of other instruments in the brass family will fill the air this coming Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church. Longtime Baritone player and Tuba Christmas Concerts aficionado, Jean Lindvig, tells news radio that it's the 27th annual event here in Williston and the 45th annual nationally, a time for avid brass instrumentalists to come together informally for the love of playing and to usher in the Christmas season.  Jean encourages all horn players to participate: simply come to First Lutheran at 9:00 a.m. for practice with lunch to follow, and then the first concert will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall. And . . . if one knows how to play, but doesn't currently have a horn, Jean can rustle one up for you; just contact her at 701-570-2688!  As it is a festive occasion, Jean also reminds instrumentalists to dress in holiday garb and be sure to bedazzle your horn as well for the occasion.

Concerts are free to the public, so why not come out and enjoy some great Christmas music by some of the most talented horn blowers in Williston! The First Lutheran Church at 916 Main Street plays host to the first concert at 1:00 p.m., but if you miss that one, the Tuba Christmas band will work its way downtown for a performance at 2:00, followed by performances at the Arbor House at 2:45 and the Williston ARC at 3:45.
