Jury Hears from Child’s Confidant about Sexual Abuse

Williston, ND (KEYZ)  More lurid testimony expected in day three of the trial of 42-year-old Juan Martinez, accused of the continuous sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl.  During the first day of testimony yesterday, the court heard from Lyndie Monson, a prime witness for the prosecution and confident, who recounted tales of repeated sexual assault as told to her by the girl.

Mondie was a physical education and health teacher at Williston Middle School at the time, and in a soft voice told the jury Tuesday that the girl confided in her about the ongoing sexual abuse in November of 2017 at the end the school day. The sickening tale, led to the arrest of Martinez on the double A felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
