Bismarck, ND (KEYZ)  Forty-two-year-old Gregory Leingang of Bismarck, is sentenced to time served and a year of supervised release for stealing a forklift back in 2017 and threatening to ram the Presidential Limousine as President Trump headed for rally at the Andeavor Mandan Refinery in Mandan on Sept. 6th.

The forklift got stuck in a gated area and Leingang fled on foot. Prosecutors say Leingang planned to harm the president by flipping the limo with the forklift.

Leingang’s attorney Michelle Monteiro says he was suffering “a serious psychiatric crisis” during the incident.  Leingang admitted that he was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and bipolar disorder, and he has been on and off medications since he was 12 years old.
