Minot, ND (KEYZ)  Thirty-nine-year-old Blake Lund is in the Ward County jail, facing charges of stealing a vehicle Thursday morning and taking police on an early morning foot chase before getting caught.

The car was initially reported stolen in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday February 21, and then located by two officers at about 20-minutes to 4 am, at a filling station in the southwest corner of the Magic City.

In an effort to avoid police, officers say Lund fled on foot but was later arrested by Ward County Narcotics Task Force officers.  Turns out Lund had several outstanding warrants out on him already.  Police also say this isn't his first run in with the police as Captain John Klug explains, he was charged with breaking and entering last September and hassling the resident, then in November he was engaged in a standoff with a SWAT team that lasted for hours, where he was also charged with attacking a police robot.
