Williston, ND (KEYZ) - The District 7 School Board met at noon Monday to accept, officially, the resignation of embattled Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Thake.

Last week, Dr. Thake and the school board announced they had come to an amicable resolution to part ways following a flurry of turmoil at the district over student proficiency, board conduct, and COVID protocols.

News Radio received the records request shortly before 4:00 on Tuesday.

Stipulations from the document include:

-The School district will continue to pay Dr. Thake his regular payroll and provide applicable health insurance benefits through April, 30th 2022.

-Dr. Thake is prohibited from seeking further legal remedies against the district, nor infer their fault in his departure.

-Both the district and Dr. Thake agreed to a non-disparagement agreement, barring both parties from implying or alleging that any wrongful, unlawful, or tortuous actions were taken by either side.
