Bismarck, ND (KEYZ)  North Dakota's oil output averaged over 1.39 million barrels per day in October, up nearly 32,600 barrels per day compared with September and another monthly production record, the North Dakota Pipeline Authority reported Friday. North Dakota's oil output has posted a record in five months so far this year: in May, when the December 2014 record was broken, and in July, August, September and, now, October.

Oil production has risen nearly 215,000 barrels per day since January, according to state data. Roughly 71% of statewide oil production was exported by pipeline in October, 18% was shipped by rail, 6% was refined in state and 5% was trucked to Canada, according to the pipeline authority.
