Williston, ND (KEYZ) Police at the scene early Friday morning tell News Radio that a drug related shooting at an apartment complex in the 24-hundred block of 16th avenue west early Thursday evening led to a 2 am search warrant being served at a neighboring apartment complex. When the three occupants ignored cries of “search warrant open the door”, officers stormed the unit taking into custody two men and one woman in their thirties thought by officers to have recently relocated to Williston, one man from Texas, the other from Las Vegas, the woman from New Mexico. One of the individuals has an outstanding yet unspecified warrant.
Officers outfitted in black Kevlar vests, searched the trees and grounds of Dakota Park across the street, and waste containers early Friday for a weapon and other evidence into the early morning hours dotting the neighborhood with points of light from their flashlights.
All these details were gathered at the scene and; Williston police say this is a pending investigation and will not comment further.
