Williston, ND (KEYZ)  The city of Williston received a quarter million dollar grant from the state of North Dakota to use on the down town enhancement program. Mayor Howard Klug says the money will be used to dress up 4th street between Main Street and Recreation Park.

"Mainly street trees, different lighting, bulb outs, or curb extensions so that pedestrians and traffic can move down the street easier, and calm that traffic down," says Klug.

Eventually, the mayor says he would like to see the same work performed on 4th street to the east side of Main, but alas none of this work can commence until warmer weather arrives in the Spring.
"all of these things are part of the down town plan, so we'll have corridors throughout that area," says the Mayor.
