BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of a release occurring Sunday, November 4 at the Stratton C-3 water injection well, about five miles northwest of Maxbass, North Dakota.

Scout Energy Management LLC reported Monday that 2,000 barrels of brine were released due to an equipment failure. Product was contained within on-site diking. At the time of reporting all 2,000 barrels of brine had been recovered.

A state inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup that may be needed.
