Willliston, ND (KEYZ) Twenty seven-year old Destin Hall of Williston is under arrest after damaging the Williston offices of Energy Transfer Partners, the owner of the Dakota Access Oil Pipeline, at 48th Street NW last Saturday.
Sheriff’s deputies found him at the facility in rural Williston after receiving a tip that someone had made unauthorized entrance to the facility and hit the emergency shut down button. Damage was set at about 30 thousand dollars, a lot of it from the fire suppression system and breaking a various objects at the site.
Police do not believe the act was political, or related to the Dakota Access Pipeline, since Destin complained he was angry and drunk after having a fight with his girlfriend. He was charged with criminal mischief, a class B felony, and criminal trespassing, a class A misdemeanor and was ordered held on $10,000 bond.
