Williston, ND (KEYZ) On a fair weather day last Saturday, April 18, 2020 the excitement of a drive thru food drive to benefit the food pantry at the Salvation Army was topped only by a surprise announcement from one half of the partnership at the helm of Williston Auto, Pat Murphy:

"We expect to break ground later this year on a new dealership facility, and it is going to be right across the street from Black Magic Harley Davidson."

Murphy, making that announcement from the parking lot of Williston Auto's soon-to-be neighbor across Highway 2, thanked the Williston Community for its support and the dealership's customer base for being patient with a facility on the Million Dollar Way that they had long since outgrown. Murphy, together with owner David Billion, assures the public the new dealership will be a world class facility.

"Right across the highway. We've got about 10 acres there. We're gonna have a world class facility that's gonna have plenty of room. Big Service Department. No trouble parking!"

Not just a car salesman, Murphy also known around town as "Mr. Vette" for his affection for that classic sports car, is a longtime community advocate so creating a new home for Williston Auto is not just about having more room to sell more cars but about creating a facility to serve a multitude of customer needs well into the future.

"It's a community decision. This is a facility that's gonna serve our community for somewhere around 50 years, so we didn't want to do it wrong or do it in the wrong place or not be big enough."

While a grand opening is at least a year away, both Murphy and Billion are grateful for the loyalty their customer base has demonstrated in the path forward to a bigger, better Williston Auto.
