Williston, ND (KEYZ) "Splish, Splash!" . . . it's a "Pool Fundraiser Bash," tomorrow evening, June 22, 2021 at River's Edge Bar and Grill in Williston.

"We've got tons of things planned. We've got a DJ there for entertainment. We've got a free will donation dinner. A corn hole tournament with a 50 percent pay-out, and live games including a dunk tank," says Williston Community Builders Member Emily Ramage-Geltel.

Ramage-Geltel and Williston Community Builders Member Amanda Colebank visited with News Radio Monday to discuss the grassroots movement quickly gaining steam to see the dream of an outdoor pool in Williston come to fruition. Kick-started with a very generous pledge of $10,000 from the American Legion Edgar M. Boyd Post 37, achieving the dream takes dollars, so organizers are launching their year-long fundraising campaign with tomorrow's event from 5:00 until 10:00 p.m. at River's Edge (the former J Dub's restaurant) located at 1002 2nd Street West.

As to the size and scope of the project, organizers are thinking big.

"Williston today . . . the size of the pool that used to be at Harmon Park isn't big enough; we'd like to do something bigger," adds Colebank. Colebank tells News Radio that, ultimately, the project will be scaled to size in line with how much organizers are able to raise.

Questions of timeline, location, and other big donors that may contribute to the project remain up-in-the-air; however, Ramage-Geltel and Colebank say stay tuned to a big media announcement scheduled for 5:30 during tomorrow's "Splish, Splash!" . . . it's a "Pool Fundraiser Bash!"
