Williston, ND (KEYZ)  The Williston Police Department is proud to introduce five new patrol officers.   Please give a warm welcome to (from left to right) Brandon Lawson, Kayla Klapper, Dakotah Smith, Jordan Patten, and Brandon Balogh.

Brandon Lawson says about himself that he "was born in California but grew up a majority of my life in North Dakota."  He attended Lake Region State College POTP class of #90 and plans on getting my bachelor’s in criminology.” Kayla Klapperd, with no bio provided.

Next, Dakotah Smith  --  “I was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan. At age 17 I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and left for training shortly after graduating high school, during my time in the Marines I served as an Infantry Assaultman with 1st Battalion 3rd Marines. My time in the Marines ended in early 2015 and I moved to Williston a few weeks after getting out. Since then, I have resumed my military service with the North Dakota Army National Guard. I am excited and happy to serve the community as an officer for the Williston Police Department. My hobbies include spending time with my wife and son, attempting to work on my cars, and learning new skills and talents.”

Finally, Brandon Balogh -- "I'm originally from Washington State and was in the USMC from 2009 to 2013 followed by the Washington National Guard from 2014 to 2017.   I've lived in Williston for the past year and like to go to the gym or go shooting in my free time."
