Williston, ND (KEYZ) Good enough to be the Governor’s band last year, the Williston High School Band Ensemble and band members from throughout the district will be performing just for you next week in Willliston. You don’t have to be the Governor to enjoy some of the best band and orchestra music in the Bakken as the district wide event known as Band O Rama entertains you at the Phil Jackson Field House, under the guidance of Eric Rooke, Williston High School Band director.
“It showcases our student’s growth from grade six all the way through to top wind ensemble at Williston High School so that parents and students alike can see the growth that happens as they go through the music department,” Rooke says.
“March is also ‘Music in our Schools Month’ so we try and do Band O Rama during March to emphasize the importance of music in our schools,” says Rooke.
Band O Rama is Tuesday March 6th and begins at 7 pm, tickets are 6 dollars for adults and 4 dollars for students. And don’t miss the Band Cake breakfast fundraiser for new uniforms this Sunday March 4th at First Lutheran Church in the Fellowship hall, for a freewill donation.
